Sales Associate

We are looking for part-time Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service with our patrons and community!

We value individuals who can work as part of a team, as well as take initiative when needed to best serve our valued customers. We train all our sales staff to be knowledgeable about the bikes and accessories we sell, as well as general bike maintenance best practices and local cycling routes, trails, and events. If you are passionate about cycling, interested in working for a local small business while serving the cycling community, then we’d love to have you join our crew.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers and provide exemplary customer service; educate customers about bicycles, bicycle accessories and clothing, and any other cycling-related products offered by Revolutions Cyclery
  • Complete any required training programs which involves in-store training as well as at-home internet-based training.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the store, including answering the telephone, restocking, cleaning, organizing and merchandising.
  • Ability to type and work with Point of Sale software for checking out customers as well as inventory management.
  • Be willing to learn from your coworkers and share knowledge regarding new products and events with customers and coworkers.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by your store manager.
  • Learn, understand and adhere to Company policy, procedures, and standards included but not limited to Revolutions Cyclery’s Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • The Sales Associate position is part time. You will need to have the ability work to on Saturdays and on Sunday rotations during the Christmas season.


The ideal candidate is:

  • Open to U.S. citizens and those all ready living in the U.S. with proper work documents
  • You do not necessarily need to have prior sales or bicycle retail experience, but you must be willing to learn about bicycles, cycling accessories, cycling maintenance and cycling culture.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and by reading and writing.
  • Comfortable working as part of a sales team.
  • Able to embrace the concept of serving the cycling public, our customer, your customer, and providing an exceptional retail experience.
  • Capable of and willing to lift and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis, and not afraid to ask for help with lifting.
  • Motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Willing to learn and perform basic bicycle maintenance.

 
Nice to Haves:

  • Passionate about cycling as well as promoting the benefits of a cycling lifestyle and culture.
  • Riders and enthusiasts preferred.
  • Able to change tires and/or tubes on analog bicycle.
  • Previous bike shop sales experience.
