Sizing Comes First
A proper fitting can only be done on a properly sized frame. Sizing should happen before you buy, and the most accurate sizing looks at more than height and inseam: your cycling experience, the riding style you want and, in some cases, other body measurements.
With today’s geometries, one rider may fit up to eight frame sizes, and two riders of the same height can have very different proportions and goals. Fitting a rider to the wrong frame is possible, but it gets very expensive. A well-sized bike is the only sound starting point.
