Simply put, the Kink Roaster is designed to be a kid's first BMX bike. The 12-inch wheel and frame size make it an easy transition from a balance bike and means kids will feel completely comfortable on their first pedaling bike. Once again, this bike isn't simply a bike with 12-inch wheels or merely a miniaturized BMX bike. It factors into account standard BMX geometry and applies them to a younger child's size and needs. The Gloss Digital Red colorway really pops while the bike sports some great components throughout. In addition to the 5-inch Kink T500 bars and 12-inch Kink Lance forks, the Roaster features a coaster brake in lieu of a lever-based brake system, that could be too difficult for some children to use at a young age. The seatstay bridge has been designed to accept a caliper brake or 990 brake plate for those looking to add a lever-style brake as well. Note: Designed for children ages 4 and up. Seat height adjustable from 15.5"-18.5".
While 14-inch bikes are not all that common, the Kink Pump 14-inch bike fills an important role in our lineup. Kids are not only getting into BMX at an earlier age, they are also progressing at an even earlier age and for that need a proper fitting bike as they grow. The Pump 14-inch fits perfectly between 12-inch and 16-inch bikes and is built with proportionate geometry and components suited to this age and height rider. Small details like the Mission Micro brake lever are considered carefully to ensure everything is of proper fit and function on this bike. The reduced angle of the Weider seat also means kids can sit down and ride comfortably. The Gloss Digital Purple colorway is a unique take on a great color that you really can't go wrong with, and the reflective strip tires add a fresh look to the bike with the bonus of some added safety. The 6-inch rise T600 bars, 14-inch Lance forks, and Pump frame all feature geometry tailored just for this 14-inch bike to fit the rider who's outgrown their 12-inch. Component wise, the Kink Pump is truly a legit BMX bike with a Mission Function cassette rear hub, Mission Tracker 2.25-inch tires, and updated Mission Cease V2 brakes.
Classic and timeless design is what the Backwoods frame is all about. Built for the trails, but just as ready to ride at the park or in the streets. The narrow toptube and downtube both feature gussets so the frame can maintain its classic look without compromising on strength. The tapered rear triangle tubing looks sleek but maintains its stiffness where it needs to. Included Kink Master Clamp features a 5mm/6mm combo bolt that makes adjustment super convenient, and the K-Brick headtube badge really finishes off the look. Integrated chain tensioners, removable brake mounts, and big tire clearance are just a few of the other features for modern-day conveniences and compatibility. - Material: 100% Seamless Sanko 4130 Chromoly Tubing - Headtube: Integrated Campy Spec - Dropouts: Investment Cast with Integrated Chain Tensioners - Wide Stays for Big Tire Clearance - Tapered Seatstay and Chainstay Tubes - Simple Straight Seatstay and Chainstay Bridges - Weight: 4lb 15oz (20.75") - Chainstay Length: 13.5" Slammed - Bottom Bracket Height: 11.6" - Standover Height: 9" - Headtube Angle: 74.5° - Seattube Angle: 71°
The Williams frame is Nathan Williams' first signature frame from Kink and features modern street geometry while retaining a classic look. Despite the classic look though, the frame features several subtle details that should not be overlooked. The steeper 75.5-degree headtube is responsive, and the short 12.75" chainstay length makes the frame nimble without compromising on tire clearance; fitting up to 2.5" tires. The double butted toptube and downtube with gussets on both, ensure plenty of strength in the front end while the chainstay and seatstay bridge designs allot for generous tire clearance while adding as much stiffness as possible. Nathan's frame of course comes standard with integrated seat post clamp, integrated chain tensioners, and removable brake mounts. Additional details like the custom seatstay bridge badge inlay, and interior dropout knurling round out both the good looks and serious functionality of the Williams frame.
The 2022 Curb, which is available in four great colorways, offers the entry-level rider a bike that looks and feels like a pro model without the price tag. Featuring modern geometry and outfitted with components such as 8.75-inch Kink T875 bars, 3-piece tubular chromoly cranks, a raised Mission Control TL stem, soft Kink Paragon grips with push-in Kink Thrust bar ends, and 2.4-inch tires front and rear; the Curb is perfect for any rider looking for a solid first bike.
The Kicker is our only 18-inch bike in the line and is built with younger riders in mind who aren't quite ready to make the jump to their first 20-inch bike. With similar components to the Kink Launch model, this bike doesn't compromise on any specs. This year the Kicker comes in a tough-looking Matte Midnight Blue color and is paired with all black components. Geometry on the Kicker 18-inch bike is specifically tailored in all aspects and is again, not simply a smaller bike. All parts and components work together to create the perfect bike for younger and shorter riders. A few notable components kitted with the Kicker are the 8-inch Kink T800 bars, rock solid 3-piece tubular chromoly cranks with sealed Mid bottom bracket, a sealed integrated headset, and modern tread design 2.4-inch tires.
The 2022 Launch continues the legacy of a truly remarkable bike. This bike is still one of the best value-priced models in the market, hands down, year after year. The Launch pairs its great color selection with even better components. The Launch is equipped with both a sealed integrated headset and sealed Mid bottom bracket, which drastically improves performance and virtually eliminates maintenance of these components. Combined with a parts package that includes Kink Stryker forks, Kink T875 8.75-inch bars, and Mission Triumph 3pc tubular chromoly cranks, this bike is a rookie's dream.
The Gap XL is just that, an extra-large 21" toptube version of the tried and true Kink Gap. Featuring modern geometry, the frame, fork, and bars also add some 4130 chromoly into the mix to give you the green light to bump your riding up a notch. Not only does it look the part, but it easily performs the part thanks to taller, 9.25-inch Kink T925 bars, Kink Stryker fork, Kink Bold HRD stem, and sealed Mission Engage cassette hub. The Ridge 3-piece tubular chromoly cranks get the grunt to the ground, and the addition of a Stealth seat and seatpost add both adjustability and modern compatibility.
The Whip is where our line really gets exciting. This beast is constructed using full 100% 4130 chromoly throughout the entire frame, fork, and handlebar set. Complimenting this strong, durable structure are sealed bearings everywhere; headset, bottom bracket, and both front and rear hubs. The front rim has also been upgraded to the Mission Mylar, giving this bike double-wall rims both front and rear. Topping off all the great functionality, the Whip comes in a Gloss Black Fade colorway. Featuring Kink Stryker forks, 9-inch Kink T900 bars, and Kink Ridge 3-piece tubular chromoly cranks, the Whip is fitted with great components featuring modern geometry. Adding to all these specs are the comfortable Kink Ace flangeless grips, Kink Hemlock pedals, and Mission Nexus sprocket. Retailing for a price everyone can agree with, the Whip cannot be beaten.
